You can use early 944 Susp & brakes on a Super, remember, the front susp for the 924/944 series came from the Super. If you are looking for a simple beater, that is inexpensive to play with, I say go for it. Teach your Wife & kids how to drive and to watch out for the idiots who drive newer, safer cars & tend not to pay attention to the world around them. I'm sure many of us had early VW, yet we somehow survived. Sure, the earlier Bugs & Gias are more desirable, but that not only makes them more $$$ but less likely to be enjoyed as a beater.
