I live in western Wisconsin, a by-product of fracking is frac-sand mining. Besides the environmental problems with silica dust, we have hundreds of big trucks pounding our county roads into dust. The BS that these mines, many are foreign-owned, claim in increases in property taxes paid, employment, and contributions to local economies are all lies. Just greedy landowners that don't care about their neighbors, but, it fits in with that 'little corporal', Scott Walker and his gang. Wisconsin has drought conditions, and these operators are putting in super wells to wash the sand. We're talking 500 gallons per minute, and the retention ponds are given little oversight. Plenty of proof with these eyes and others, that oil-fracking and it's subsidiary, frac-sand mining, are ruining this country. We got ours, you can't have any, which is their motto as well as for the Republican 'party'.

Screw the XL pipeline, Christie went to Ottowa and Mexico City to discuss 'North Americanism', and extension of exceptionalism it you will. The Republicon idea is to exploit all three countries in a fight against big Russia, you know, your favorite dictator, Putin. The GOP is going to put this idea on paper for the 2016 election, you're going to hear about it. The downside? Plenty, Putin is not going to roll over, using oil as a weapon. And, the clowns driving this car are going to gut what remaining regulations to keep Big Oil in check. Let's say, opening BLM lands to fracking for instance. Again, the Cons don't care about the XL for the tar sands, and BS on jobs, etc., they only care about the strength in numbers game. Stay tuned.
