Maybe the seller is a purist and was using the year of manufacture.
Prices had been stagnet until a couple of years ago and now they're all over the place but the days of a $10k car in decent condition are gone. When my Hagerty policy came up for renewal in December, I increased the agreed value from $20k to $28k.
