Exactly.

EV's by current design, with the current technology aren't for everybody, but are well suited for some.

The environmental impact is likely only a trade-off with burning oil, at best. Considering what I hear about toxic by-products, and hazardous waste from manufacturing batteries, It does indeed look like internal combustion engines are less harmful.

Technology will eventually make EV's the better means of conveyance. They have a good way's to go, though.
