I had a Mercedes S400 Hybrid I know it is not a true EV but I believe the battery technology is the same. After having the car for one year the Hybrid battery went bad and the car would not start. I had the car towed back to MB and they replaced the battery the cost was nearly $9,000 luckily within warranty. Do the batteries in a Prius cost that much? If so what do you do when they go junk the car? After Mercedes finally took back the Hybrid under the lemon law I got a
S350 diesel. That car got almost 40MPG in a full size luxury car.
