Plenty of good advice rolling in. With something that's sat so long I think you're going to ultimately end up very close to, if not at the bottom of the slippery slope. All the brake and suspension components are going to benefit from attention. I guess you know that, but there was the implication in the first post that you wanted to drop a functional engine in there and go driving.

The lack of garage is going to be a serious hindrance once the car's in a thousand pieces, and I'd be incredibly nervous about leaving something of such value in sight. Even as it sits, a longhood could be a target. I'd think seriously about some kind of structure that would conceal it, even if it weren't all that secure. At least get your insurance updated pronto.

All that said, I wish you the best of luck. It will be an amazing learning experience, and you will have something of beauty and value once 'done'. (They're never done.)
