My advise is, forget the pool, send me $40k and keep the rest, it'll be cheaper for you in the long run.

I went thru the same "ordeal". Finally gave in and had a large concrete inground pool built. This was about 15 years ago and cost about $30k! We used it a good bit at first, but now it is almost never used. HUGE waste of money! Something I would NEVER do again!!!
