For the record, I would not have posted the Chandler photos if I'd have thought there would be controversial. I snapped those with my cell phone while standing in line at Bass Pro Shops - I think they (and many others) are on loan there. I like storytelling-through-photography, and they spoke to me for some reason.
Bison: I've been to Catalina many many times - they
must be culled in my opinion.
Mountain lions: I think they're majestic and all, but I have no problem with them being hunted down to just above sustainable numbers. We hike and bike a lot in So Cal, and my wife and her friends are often smaller than the lions I hear roaming our foothills' neighborhoods, and then there are the child-filled backyards... I know all about it being their territory etc., but if it's them or the safety of humans, there's no question in my mind.
