I haven't seen a $40k M491 in some time. I would also not balk at the salvage title—the car has been hit, hard, and all of the M491 Internet buyers will know it, regardless of the title. The important bit in that regard is a piece of paper from the best shop showing every piece of quality work performed.
If you're wondering "should I or shouldn't I," I would spend a bit of time looking around for what you can get for $38k.
That said...could sure use some of those parts
