This was a blatant rip off scam. I hope you get your money back. That being said, "questionable" ppi's and "forgetful" or "oblivious" sellers can also lead to softer forms of rip-off when cars are bought remotely.

Spoke to him several times by phone. Seemed like a straight up guy - but I guess that's why they call them confidence men.
