Zero environmental impact golf course?
They take the area that is going to be landscaped for the golf course, dig it all out, put in a big barrier liner, gravel, and drains/pumps. Put dirt/rocks/vegitation back. Any water/fertilizer/chemicals they use to keep the golf course green is collected in the barrier and recycled back onto the golf course. The golf course has no impact on the surrounding area.
The first one they built is called The Preserve in Carmel CA. It has grown to a community of 100 homes all based on the ideals of wildlife and habitat conservation for the area.
