This isn't NPD. This is real crazy. "Talk therapy" isn't going to fix a damned thing.
My grandmother was the same way. It just got worse and worse over time, with my grandfather enabling her and (unwittingly) serving as something of a buffer between her and the rest of us. After my grandfather died she wound up in a 24-hour care facility, cursing and spitting at the nurses who she claimed were trying to "steal her money."
It's a miracle my father turned out even slightly normal.
