It sounds like you have a winner MIL.
I got one too. She is great. She lives by herself in her own home 90 miles from here. She will likely stay there as her son, two grandsons and 4 great grandsons are there. The oldest great grandson is 16 now and has formed a great bond with her. He comes over to do the Honey-dos like changing AC filters and replacing light bulbs and washing cars and so on. That list is a LOT less for me to do now when I go to visit.
I was with a group of men a few years ago and all of them were telling monster-in-law stories. I just sat there and laughed. At one point they all looked at me and one of them asked me what is your story. I told them I can only sympathize with them because I have a great MIL.
