It's physics. All visible wavelengths of light are reflected by white paint. Other colors absorb light of various wavelengths, only reflecting the colors you see (like arrest me red). All that absorbed light increases the weight of the car, making it slower. So, white cars have a competitive advantage! See, ain't science wonderful?
