A business acquaintance with 2 young children is very happy with his Lexus ISF. Obviously the top of the line ISF a lot more than you're looking to spend, but the underlying IS chassis seems really good. He came from an M3 (E92 chassis) which he hated for the reliability (or lack thereof).
