How is that different from religious types taking a vow of chastity (except in the case of young boys I suppose...)?

I always understood the requirement for a Darwin Award as one having to remove themself from the gene pool by creatively killing themself. As far as I understand it, death is required so these dopes would be ineligible although I take a certain comfort in knowing that their mindless zealotry won't poison future generations other than perhaps by example.
