Once when I was in band camp, I moved to Oregon. The Oregon DMV recorded my VIN as 16 numbers not 17. Got insurance with that VIN, had a copy of my former CA registration and owner docs in my possession WITH THE CORRECT VIN.

Was pulled over in Nevada by NHP while traveling. Same crap.....arrested, car towed, damaged by the contract tow company.....couldn't leave that state fast enuff.

Tow dork hooked the oil line. Opened up when it warmed up and dumped all 12 quarts. They claim it was like that when I was pulled over.....yeah, right. I just came over the Donner pass and had logged 1,000 miles that day. They even arrested my Dachshund and my .357......that fiasco cost me $3k.
