Have a friend in Wichita that. Spent 33K on a stroker motor. Has Individual throttle bodies and pulled 610 rwhp first bang out of the box pre-tune. Built to red line at 8K. Won't tell anyone what the numbers really are but it is a beast. He doesn't ever plan to sell it.
There is another guy in Texas that has done similar, but also integrated the valve train from the 968 to get variocam. If I remember correctly he cemented the block to make it stronger and runs some wild compression. It is a beast as well. He likes to go pick on vipers and GTRs.
There is a guy in England that is pushing his 928 on the bottle(s) and getting some really fast times.
The problem is finding a good 928 stroker crank. They are rare as hens teeth.
Want my to look stock, but be fast. Guess headers kind a ruin that though.
The 928 hot rod gurus say Cams, and headers are pretty much best bang for the buck. Then superchargers. Then there is a guy also doing a really really nicely done twin turbo kit. But boost tends to make you crank it till it blows up.
