Mostly the movies based on the Fleming books, I think, were the best.
I grew up with Roger Moore. I think as a kid, I liked his gadgets and slight goofiness. Now, as an adult, I really like Sean Connery and I agree, George Lazenby was also great. But then, I also liked Pierce Brosnan. Pierce Brosnan did have the worst of all of the Bond films during his watch. The one with Teri Hatcher and the Chinese girl was horrible.

I think Daniel Craig has taken the role back to be more like it was when SC was Bond. It's ore raw, relies less on gadgets and he's more likely to beyotch slap anyone that gets in his way. Skyfall, was good, but not terribly Bond-like. Casino Royale Was the best of his 3. Quantum of Solace was OK, but not great, I think part of the problem with that one was that the main Bond girl was uninspiring.
