He certainly wasn't a standard super-villain. But he was a good villain, evil, creepy and damaged.

Pretty standard, I think 1. Thunderball, 2. On Her Majesty's Secret Service
3. Goldfinger and best Books Casino Royale, O.H.M.S.S. and Dr. No.
Darn , I forgot From Russia with Love. So in revision, From Russia with Love as best book and best movie!
Connery as best Bond,

HHmm, that's tough. I haven't read the books, so I can only speak to the movies.
Diamonds are Forever is one of my all time favs. I don't think I can pick a top 3.
Goldfinger is iconic.
You Only Live Twice is also a favorite and very classic Bond.
From Russia with Love is excellent. It's hard to believe that the Bond girl in it was an Italian that had her voice dubbed over for the whole movie.
On Her Majesty's Secret Service is excellent, and Im surprised that it's not more popular.
I also really like Golden Eye and Die Another Day
For Your Eyes Only is a good one.
Casino Royale was excellent and to me, got back the the roots of what the Bonds were when Sean C was bond.
