Cup chips don't have overboost protection either, don't need it, don't want it and never got baby 26-6 to overboost with shimmed wastegate or with Tial 46mm dual spring or maxed knob because it wouldn't make CFM to do that and it was bb rebuilt.

the AFM & TPS sensor do fail and they can screw with idle and throttle and A/F , however from reading areas you addressed them, seems like you did cover most of the other suspect areas like O2 and such, looks like you on right track.
