What songs are you glad you you don't hear on the radio
Lets make sure that we maintain an overall positive spin on this whole topic. It's music! We shan't hate music! Life would suck without it!
We all know that the mass-media, so-called "classic rock" stations really roached some really great songs.
What songs from your classic past are you glad that they didn't play to death? Something that you'll make an effort to seek and listen to, or something that comes up on a playlist that is just a real pleasant surprise?
(Apologies if some of these were in strong rotation when you grew up - where I lived as a yoot these were not the songs on the radio from the album when it was new...)
Ten Years After - "Sky Fall"
Pink Floyd - (Anything from Animals - especially "Pigs")
Beatles - "Long, Long, Long"
Derek and the Dominoes _"Gotta get better in a little while"
Montrose - "Space Station no 5"
REM - "Fall on Me"
