That's what I had in mind. However, not sure about the resultant lighting effect. I noticed this LED cluster pattern isn't as tight as your previous 2-row donut layout. Perhaps provisions for resistor mount area on the back side? I'm guessing folks here might prefer less a contemporary Audi-like taillight look for a more vintage, single-source "bulb" appearance.
BTW, there's a random LED around the 11 o'clock position (inside the outer ring). An extra copy and paste element in the mockup?
