He explained the reason why the 928 has a special place in his heart. When his Father was on his death bed, he got a call that he needed to get to his Dad’s bedside as soon as possible. At the time he was reviewing the 928 and Porsche gave him a car to drive for a bit. He had a chicken in the oven and thought he should bring to his mum. When he arrived in Sheffield the chicken was still warm and his dad was still alive - he died shortly after. He explained that it was because of the car’s ability to drive so fast for a sustained amount of time that he was able to make it in time to say goodbye.
