Wow - that's come way up from when I quit. I think they bottomed out at ten bucks apiece for awhile. Hardly worth the effort.

It will absolutely do the job. Keep using whatever it's sighted in for and you will be fine. Coyotes do, however, wise up pretty damn fast once you've decked a few of their buddies. .30-30's are not known for their flat trajectories, and coyotes are smaller than they look from backbone to brisket, so they can be deceptively hard to hit with a round like this. Granted, they are also smart enough to stay away once said buddies get whacked, so maybe dumping a couple will get your point across.
