You started for whatever reason, a discussion that explores the importance of faith. Obviously, people have differing opinions. And quite literally, that is a PARF discussion that you intentionally placed into the wrong forum.
What I am saying is not that you erred in where the discussion started, I'm saying that you erred by pretending not to be a PARF participant. You are in fact, now a PARF participant and there is no point in pretending (yes pretending) to be above that label. Your question is not about business, or personal priorities per se. You are openly asking why religion would be that important. You are getting a lot of opinions about that. This is a discussion about religion.

I think when someone is asking a specific question about a circumstance, and religion happens to be a part of that, we might consider confining ourselves to the subject at hand, and leave the soapboxes out of it.
Many people would like a G rated discussion of events and topics, but would be willing to entertain a PG level of sophistication, without the vitriol.
Otherwise, the thread will jump the shark early. This one is done.
