My wife has a Flex with the 6 Cyl Ecoboost. Had it for about four years. It has gobs of power...very fun to drive, despite the car being a brick, but comes in at about 20 MPG overall. Our company has a number of F150s with the Ecoboost also. None of them get very good mileage. Range from 14 to 18 max. MPG depends entirely on the driver. This engine is so much fun, there tends to be a problem keeping the thing in economy mode, so to speak. Note that our speed limits are 70+, so lower speeds may result in better mileage...but I doubt it, the thing is just too much fun!
