I'm not a big Broadway person, but Les Mis I have seen a couple of times. Recently, I saw "The Last Ship" on Broadway when Sting was performing. I must say - Last Ship is now my second favorite Broadway show.
Both Les Mis and The Last Ship have a gritty and dark feel to them - just the way I like my Broadway plays (and Science Fiction) served up!
