'Original' means original paint, repaints are not 'original' that is huge and the most obvious error to me. And calling it a survivor is really sealing the deal of clueless.
And the steering wheel, and other previously mentioned stuff makes it a nice driver not an original/survivor car.
But as a side note, in some defence of the seller, many people really do not understand these terms to describe cars or have the ability to asses their own car. For example on this marketplace discussion form we have people describe their car with in op AC, after market steering wheel, later wheels etc. then go on to say it is a hagerty #2 car and by Hagerty's charts should be worth this much. You can quote Hagerty description and use all the facts you want and people will still stand by their #2 assessment of their car. I do not think these people are devious are stupid, just maybe a prejudice to their own car. This 912 is being offered for sale by a flipper who should know better, but obviously does not.
So I think when evaluating a car for sale, it is important to look at the car and owner and not the ad, ignoring misspelled words and bad descriptions, is it a thoughtful caring owner? or is it a flipper, dealer, second party seller of some sort? and of course a personal inspection of the car with your own assessment or one of a trusted third party.
From what I can see this would make a good driver 912 and should be brought for that amount.
