I've mostly given up listening to new music ("Nü"--LOL

). Right now I've got Beatles, Beethoven, and Satriani in my CD changer. I may
own both "Load"s and the black album, but I never listened to them after the 2nd spin.
Music these days is written for the lowest common denominator and for our society's 3-minute attention span. We're likely to never see another Thick As a Brick or In-a-gadda-da-vida.
The latest is that bands are getting pissy at the single-song download sale model. Why? I say it's because nearly every "popular" band these days is a bunch of no-talent hacks who come up with one or two good songs and then put a bunch of filler in the rest of the "album". This way they can charge $18 for those two songs instead of $2.
