Seems like all crimes like assaults, murders, etc. are hate crimes. Or, at least, they're not love crimes.
Anyways, the media seems silent on this particular heinous and cold-blooded crime, I haven't seen or heard it anywhere, would not have known about it except for PPOT.
Unlike that drunk guy at University of Virginia that got tackled by campus alcohol control and got a small cut on his head. That was for some reason national news.
