It makes it look like that favorite HotWheels® car that they loved from their youth. It had been mashed from being stepped on regularly so the wheels were bent up at a pooched angle. They also want to sleep with it in their bed as they suck their thumbs.

The trend isn't that new. They have been doing that stuff in Japan for almost a decade. In the ricer scene there is a long history of doing things as "performance" modifications that makes the "performance" SO GOOD that the car is undriveable and has to crawl over crowns in the road let alone (
god forbid) enter a driveway!
The whole bit where people setup a Porsche with enough ground clearance that they can go warp 9 through a non tarmac ralley stage really shows how Porsche people just have no clue about performance!!!
