When my brother moved back to town after getting out of the Marines he was offered a job in sales in the family business. My other brother was already in management. Other brother's WIFE (founder's daughter and major stock holder) told my brother to work at the company he would have to shave his beard. He asked her if she liked beards and she immediately replied with a resounding "No!" He calmly told her he suggested SHE didn't grow one, and refused the job.

All of the men in our family have or have had beards except for that one brother who's wife does not like beards. And my granddad on my Mom's side was the town barber.
