new day, new neuroons. Thanks for telling me to stop overthinking it.
Bank 1 is on passenger side when viewed from rear of car. Cylinders 1-3. Bank 1 tensioner is most easily accessed with engine in car.( other than the IMS tensioner.) Cam lock goes on bank 1, ( sepentine belt side of engine just behind firewall.)
If I cobble together another cam lock, then I can install it on bank 2 as a precaution-and as the LN instructions say- odds are won't need to pull the A/C compressor to access the tensioner for bank 2.
Then undo both tensioners and is safe to remove the IMS cover..
have I gotten myself back on course, or farther off?
Thanks!
