Fix it up and keep it and drive it and enjoy it. Enjoy driving it with no oil consumption issues and got on the road to wherever it is you want to go. Tell him you will take $100K minimum. That will shut him up.
When and IF you decide to change cars then sell it. It will not likely be going down in value.
I don't think you need the cash form the sale and you have been stuck home with no vacation for too long. Enjoy life while you have the health to travel. Don't wait, do it now! Get out there and go.
