I ended up getting an old laptop that no one wanted. It is SLOW but I have Pandora on it and it connects to the Wi-Fi from the house router with no problems. I bought a $20 computer speaker setup with two speakers and a separate sub-woofer. It is easily "good enough for rock-n-roll" and that is all I listen to. I can crank it up loud enough that my wife will stick her hard out the door and yell at me to turn it down. It sounds just fine to me.
That laptop is painful slow to try to surf the web. I looked up something on Pelican once and it took forever. It does great as a Pandora source.
