saab 900ng ignition switch
So yesterday my 1996 900 2.3l cab fired up and then immediately died.
Turns out that the ignition switch was not powering the ECU in the on position.
It was doing it in the crank position which was enabling it to start but as soon as it stopped it cranking all the dash gauges turned off and it died.
It also stopped sending power to the fuel pump, not sure yet if this is related or a weird coincidence, will find out when the new ignition switch arrives tomorrow.
Interesting drive home with the fuel pump relay bridged and having to hold the key just shy of cranking.
Still after an hour of trouble shooting at least she made it home under her own power.
