Good thread. I feel better informed now. Since the tax for a 993 here is at least 70000 Euro (add the car to that) I'm not going to buy a 993
Still I love the 993 and I'm curious about its problems.
I didn't know about tire wear. So basically the tires wear quickly not because the car is out of balance, but because of the way it's built.
Windshield creaking: So it isn't a problem with all 993s, but can be seen on all types, coupes included?
I have never heard of carbon build up. Doesn't it depend on the fuel and driving style?
Wireing issue: What exactly is the problem? Erratic electrics or what?
I've heard about large oil consumption on German Porsche pages. No details though (I hoped someone here might knew about it).
