On the inside of the trim ring on the right side of your picture you can see a small round pin. (There is one on each side.) All you need to do is put your thumbs on the pins. Push the pins up with your thumbs. After they stop moving up-Pull the unit towards you. It should release the unit from the can mounted in the dash. Before you do this make sure the unit does not have a strap attaching the back of the unit to the car.
