Not an accomplished guitar player but I do play finger style on a number of songs and want the nails on my right hand around 3/16". Left hand nails are cut as short as I can get em.
I must admit when I'm working on anything the right hand nails are a PITA for getting grime (removed with olive oil) and breakage (darn).
I'll live with it.
