I would recommend 20-50 for your 911 in the summer. The 20 is the weight and due to the temps and cooling by oil these cars need, I would recommend the higher weight oil.
I use Castrol GTX, a couple mechanics recommended it to me. But then again I use Mobil1 in my Bimmer.

Hi,
I asked him today and he mentioned Penzoil 20W50; That's thats what the mechanic has been using on the car.
But I think you're right since these cars usually run warmer than others I'll return the Mobil1-10W30 and get a 20W50 as you suggested.
