In the 928 world when that kind of paint thing happens, they make new tags and put them on the car. Kinda like if they were doing a restoration.

One guy painted his car the same color as mine, not a factory color for his year, and had a tag made the same as mine and put it on the car. Said if it ever needed resprayed from and accident, there would be no question what color to paint.

That reminds me, I need to get a couple of the stickers under the hood replaced. Someone (not me, probably the guy that wants to buy the car) polished all the text off them.
