If you're serious about a small revolver, check out Ruger's LCR. Far from a beauty, but small, light, sweet trigger, and comfortable to shoot for such a light gun.

If you got a Colt with a bad trigger pull then it was an anomaly. Every Colt that I own (more than several) has a nearly ideal trigger pull in both single action and double action. In addition to two Detective Specials I have a Cobra and an Agent. All have great triggers!
