Read an article on the top 5 US road trips, and that got me thinking about what my favorite roads are.
The article (
https://www.yahoo.com/travel/5-must-do-american-road-trips-116263536772.html) lists the following roads:
1. Colorado’s Scenic and Historic Byways
2. South Carolina’s BBQ Trail
3. Alaska’s Seward Highway
4. New York’s Finger Lakes Region
5. Wyoming’s Wild West
Here's my list:
9. Rocky Mountain National Park - Trail Ridge Road - Colorado
8. Mt. Rainier - the Road to Paradise station - Washington
7. Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel
6. Everglades Rt. 75 (Alligator Alley) - Florida
5. PCH - Pacific Coast Highway - California
4. Sedona SR-179 (Red Rock Scenic Road) - Arizona
3. Deal's Gap - Tail of the Dragon - North Carolina
2. Road to Hana - Maui - Hawaii
1. Seward Highway & Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel to Whittier- Alaska
I have driven all of these, except for #3: Deal's Gap. But that road is on my bucket list for certain!
So what's on your list?
