Depends on the time year, what direction you want to drive it, who is with you, etc.
My sister has a mountain house in Brevard, NC about an hour and a half from the Dragon. I have come to really enjoy Brevard, a neat little college town with lots of festivals, etc.
The Dragon will be very crowded at certain times and times of the year...a late spring weekend drive would be disastrous. There are better drives in the area in my opinion.
