Fontana works. It's at the end of another good drive. We've stayed in Robbinsville a couple times, decent amount of stuff there for food/bev, there was a Microtel and one other chain hotel in town. Other end of 129 your probably closer to Knoxville and should be able to find all you'd want up there.
