When I drove out to Charleston from OKC it was all day on I-40 the first day. I stayed in Maryville, TN at a nice enough Hampton Inn.
The next morning was just a few minutes to get to the fun driving. I spent the entire day getting to Charlotte, NC from Maryville. I just kept finding fun roads.
