I would think someone would pay $23k for a rust-free 912 just to rebody one of the rust-gutted 80s conversions that are floating around on ebay.
I love the idea of a Raby type IV motor in a 912 like that one -- non-original engine and no rust make a relatively low cost entry to a stock-looking hot rod that could pants most era cars.
