It is about quality and not so much about brands. It so happens that design, quality material and construction go hand in hand with branding. With some brands there is an exorbitant premium for having that label stitched on the inside. Tom Ford comes readily to mind. Brioni is another. It is hard to justify 6K for a suit.
My Granny always wanted value for her money so she bought quality goods, My Daddy followed suit and for a long while I didn't care one way or the other. Then after Sndy passed I started getting out more, lost weight and as part and parcel of it all I started to dress nicely. It is a simple pleasure where you can use what you spend your money on. Now women hold the door open for me.
