Well, yes, and this is the fundamental problem. I'll wax PARFy on this reply, but I've had this conversation a lot. Both pro and anti-gunners want to reduce violence. Nobody wants another Newtown. Heck, I was across the street when the Navy Yard shooting happened.
But there's a huge gap between concept and execution. The concept is that criminals shouldn't have guns, something that we all agree on. The execution is a bewildering array of laws which are enforced arbitrarily.
It's very frustrating.
